Superintendents Cup

The Carolina's Freedom Foundation annually sponsors the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Program Awards and Recognition Ceremony. Held toward the end of each academic year at Charlotte’s Bojangles Coliseum, this ceremony recognizes outstanding individual performances by cadets in the JROTC programs. Medals are presented for excellence in academics, citizenship and leadership. The top five JROTC programs are also presented with the Superintendent’s Proficiency Cup for excelling in physical fitness, general military excellence, academic competition, and community services. In addition to the 1,500 cadets who assemble on the Bojangles Coliseum floor, more than 2,000 parents, friends and community supporters attend this event.
